Bali Taman is right on the beachfront. Rooms are spread around in pretty gardens. In a fairly quite area, but close to other Hotels and Restuarants. Bali Taman restaurant is very average and cats everywhere around the dining area which put us off. However good dining is a very short stroll along the beach. Countryside is very rural and good for day trips. Staff were very helpful. About a half hour walk to main part of town, which has a few shops but nothing really interesting. Better shopping elsewhwere. This is a place to lay back and relax.
Apart from the numerous cats in the restuarant all else was good. The Dolphin watching which is nothing to do with the Hotel is a bit of a circus. Forty plus boats terrorising the living daylights out of Dolphin pods every time they surface. No wonder the Dolphins are slowly moving further and further out to sea.

The grounds and facilities are beautiful. Of all the places I stayed in Bali, the Bali Taman's staff was by far the most welcoming and helpful. Everyone who works there was friendly and professional. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the spa treatments which were first class at very affordable rates.
There really is no 'town' of Lovina and the Bali Taman lays at the far East end of the strip which is classified at Lovina. There is nothing to do within walking distance and there are no cabs in Lovina, only the local mini-bus service or a hired car if you are lucky enough to find one. If you go, plan on enjoying the wonderful facilities but don't expect much from the town.

We had an amazing stay here! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with warm smiles and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. The hotel grounds were beautifully presented and the pool was a great place to relax and cool off. Our room was spacious and clean, with a fantastic outdoor shower that was a wonderful treat. The spa services were also top-notch, and we left feeling refreshed and pampered. this place is luxurious and provides enhanced comfort and quality services.
We highly recommend this place to all.

We enjoyed our stay and relative to what we paid US$45/night for a deluxe room it was quite good. The location is about 3.5Km outside of Lovina centre, although the local taxi, a bemu, was quite cheap, less than us$1 per person each way. The beach could do with some regular tlc but it was ok but the beach at the cnetre was much nicer. Local food was very good and I highly recommend Villa Agung for its cuisine. A disappointment for me was that there was no wi-fi and even if there was, it was relatively expensive at us$5 per day.The room size was good and the gardens picturesque and well maintained. Of Lovina itself, we found it very different to the south and little to do, which made for a nice relaxing vacation. ALthough there are lots of local toours to go on, so overall a nice time was had. THe journey from the airport takes about 3hrs and the roads are ok but a bit bumby in places. The journey over the mountain is long & windy, but very picturesque in places.

Great location near the beach with stunning views. The hotel had excellent facilities including a nice pool and a cozy restaurant. The staff were accommodating and very friendly, always helpful in making sure we were comfortable during our stay. We enjoyed the spa treatments and the quality of the meals in the restaurant was beyond our expectations.
The noise level in the rooms was unbearable. We could hear noises throughout the day and night.

The environment is too bad. Too many moquisto. The house keeping staff din get our permission, straightaway come into our room.

Nice environment with a good swimming pool. You may request to the hotel in order to get a 15 minutes foot or shoulder massage for free.

The hotel had a beautiful beachfront location and offered a dolphin watching experience as part of the room package. the pool was very inviting and had a colorful design. the food was great.
The room decorations were old and outdated, and the towels and bed cover could use an upgrade. the beach was not well-maintained and looked like a scrap yard.

The staff were wonderful; gardens & grounds were lovely; little touches really made for a good stay (frangipani flowers on restaurant steps at breakfast & decorating the statues throughout the grounds, replenishing complimentary water daily, lots of smiles!); complimentary 15min massage on arrival was lovely (and good enough for us to go back for seconds!!). The food at the restaurant was good and they were happy to accomodate variations. Beach views were great.
Mosquitos - this hotel could do with putting in nets, although when we complained after the first night they gave us an electric scent repeller which worked ok - but it still would have been good to have a net. Rooms are a little dated inside, but that is shown in the pictures, so there was no misrepresentation. The wireless internet was not working at all and the regular internet was very slow. Beach was not very clean... But this is not really a hotel problem, there is a serious litter problem across the whole of Bali.

We stayed in a well maintained accommodation in a beautiful area very close to the beach. the staff members were polite, friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. the facilities were great, with a beautiful pool and a free shuttle. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast provided every morning before starting our day.
The air conditioning unit was not very effective.

We loved the entire facility. We were right next to the beach, and a short drive downtown to the restaurants and the daytime activities. The staff was so friendly, nice and caring. They catered to our schedules and thus maximized our enjoyment.
I wish that the full breakfast were available for those leaving earlier than the 7:00 am start time. Also, I wish that there were no additional tax on my VISA card.
